Paired with raw veggies, pita bread or used as a dressing on salads, it’s hard to go wrong with a good hummus. And this healthy recipe substitutes the usual garbanzo beans with black beans for a fun twist. Made with ingredients you most likely have in your pantry and fridge (canned black beans, garlic, cilantro, spices, oil), this healthy and yummy snack comes together in a snap. Pair this slightly smoky hummus with veggies, corn tortilla chips, crackers, or as a spread on wraps or burritos.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans low sodium black beans, drained and rinsed
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • 3 cloves roasted garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup canola coconut oil blend
  • 1/4 cup water
