Recipe: Crispy Cauliflower Bites with Sriracha Dipping Sauce

I love cauliflower! It’s low in calories, high in fiber and it’s a great way to eat more vegetables. And these crispy cauliflower bites are seriously irresistible with their crunchy texture and a sriracha dipping sauce with just the right amount of heat.

It’s a perfect appetizer for game day, game night, or just a healthy snack. Skip the fries and pop these crunchy cauliflower bites in the oven to satisfy your cravings, and impress your guests with this sassy dipping sauce recipe.

It is not a secret cauliflower has been trending over the last few years. Everywhere you turn cauliflower seems to be popping up on menus and recipes like cauliflower pizza crust, cauliflower rice, cauliflower macaroni and cheese, cauliflower mashed potatoes…the list goes on!

This cruciferous vegetable continues to grow in popularity because it can easily replace carb-heavy starches such as pasta or potatoes in so many dishes.

    How To Make Crispy Cauliflower Bites

    When you’re bored with roasted cauliflower florets, this crispy cauliflower appetizer will get you out of a rut. These healthy cauliflower bites come out golden brown and full of crunch. Here’s how to make our crispy cauliflower bites:

    • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
    • Dip each cauliflower floret in the egg, roll in the panko crumbs, and place on the cookie sheet.
    • Once all the cauliflower is ready, sprinkle Lowry’s seasoned salt or table salt on cauliflower (optional). Then place baking sheet in the oven and cook for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    • While the cauliflower is baking, add all the dipping sauce ingredients into a bowl and mix together.
    • Once the cauliflower is done. Remove from the oven and drizzle sriracha dipping sauce over crispy cauliflower bites or serve on the side.

    Sriracha Dipping Sauce for Cauliflower

    We love this spicy dipping sauce for the crispy cauliflower bites (or other veggies!). You can whip up the yummy sriracha cauliflower dipping sauce while the cauliflower bakes keeping this recipe under 30 minutes with very little clean-up.

    Here are the ingredients for the sriracha dipping sauce:

    • 1 1/2 tablespoons mayo
    • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
    • 3/4 tablespoon sriracha
    • 1/2 teaspoon honey

    Drizzle the sauce over the crispy cauliflower or use it on the side for dipping.

    How To Make Crispy Cauliflower in the Air Fryer

    If you have an air fryer and prefer to make these crispy cauliflower bites with this method, the process is almost entirely the same.

    • Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees.
    • Follow the directions below for dipping the cauliflower florets in the egg and panko mix.
    • Add to your air fryer basket, making sure the pieces do not overlap.
    • Cook for 9-12 minutes until crispy.
    • Repeat with any remaining cauliflower.

    Directions

    1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Dip each cauliflower floret in the egg, roll in the panko crumbs, and place on the cookie sheet for baking.
    3. Once all the cauliflower is ready for baking sprinkle 3 shakes of Lowry's seasoned salt or table salt on cauliflower (optional). Then place baking sheet in oven and cook for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    4. Add all the dipping sauce ingredients into a bowl and mix together.
    5. Once the cauliflower is done. Remove from the oven and drizzle sriracha dipping sauce over crispy cauliflower bites or serve on the side.
