This healthy whole30 recipe for fish and shrimp stew is packed with protein and tastes amazing! This healthy soup is warm, has a bit of heat, and is brimming with seafood flavor. You could definitely serve this flavorful stew over rice for a heartier meal, but we think it tastes amazing on it’s own.


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, I use double that for a spicier soup)
  • 2/3 cup parsley
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 28 ounces canned San Marzano tomatoes
  • 8 ounces clam juice
  • 14 ounces fish stock
  • 2 tablespoons butter (or ghee for Whole30)
  • 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1.5 lbs cod, sliced into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 lb. raw shrimp
