These healthy loaded sweet potato nacho appetizer takes snacking to a new level. These baked sweet potato chips are healthy, and add a tasty crunch and flavor.


Why the heck didn’t we think of this? Loaded sweet potato nachos made with baked sweet potato chips versus fattening fried corn chips. These baked sweet potato chips add another dimension of flavor to one of our favorite game day snacks: nachos! Now don’t get overwhelmed at the thought of baking your own chips; it’s a snap! We couldn’t believe how easy this recipe was to prep, and your guests will be amazed at the glorious nachos that they will be snacking on. We love veggies so the recipe as is tastes amazing, but adding pulled pork is pretty spectacular too. So for the Big Game or any day of the week, this healthy nacho recipe is hard to beat.



  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, 2 pounds total
  • 2 teaspoons grapeseed oil
  • A generous pinch of sea salt
  • 1 cup of frozen corn
  • 1 - 15 ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (see notes)
  • Optional: cilantro, jalapeño peppers, red chili peppers, limes, black pepper
  • Guacamole
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • Juice from 1/2 of a lime
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1 garlic clove, very finely minced
  • A pinch of sea salt
