A little about me: I am originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and I went to undergrad at University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. I moved to Minneapolis just last fall to start a Ph.D. program in Psychology at University of Minnesota. My research revolves around health with a particular focus on self-regulation and eating. In my spare time, you can find me out for a run around the lakes of Minnesota, experimenting in the kitchen, or hanging out with all the wonderful friends I have made since coming to the mid-west.

Mi Familia: My wonderful roommates Emily and Brittany are my Minneapolis family and make my Uptown apartment feel like home.

My workout of choice: I ran competitive cross-country and track and will always love running. I have a soft spot for yoga and bar method, but spend most of my time just messing around trying fun new classes or workouts.

The five things always in my fridge: Kombucha, Kale, Carrots, Whole Foods Garlic Hummus, and Zucchinis for making zoodles with my spiralizer.

My fav fitness item: My foam roller. So painful, but so helpful! favorite indulgence: So Delicious brand Mint Chip Coconut Milk Ice Cream or a really good slice of pizza.

My go-to pump-up jam: “Some Nights” by Fun. Not so much a pump up jam as much as a song that keeps me going. A few months after I introduced my father (who was 60 at the time) to this song, he told me that it got him through the last mile of a marathon, so I will never quit a workout while it is playing.

My favorite motivational quote: “Be the change you wish to see in the world” –Mahatma Gandhi (re-written)

My girl crush: Kate Hudson. This girl crush started in 2000 with the movie Almost Famous, and since then she has only become more amazing. She promotes fitness and wellness, and I love Fabletics!
