Chris’s schedule is BUSY, but that doesn’t mean she skips breakfast. She knows how important a healthy start to the day is so she makes sure to begin her day with a big glass of lemon water and a healthy, filling breakfast. Here are three of her favorites:

Muffin in a Minute: Chris loves the fact that this muffin in ready in minutes! It’s simple and quick: perfect for her busy mornings running out the door.

Banana Berry Baked Oatmeal: Chris loves to make this on Sunday and eat it all week long for breakfast. Talk about planning ahead!

Gorgeous Green Smoothie Bowl: Another favorite of Chris’ is a good smoothie in the morning. Her gorgeous green smoothie bowl is super healthy, can be whipped together in a pinch and she loves being creative with toppings.

Asian Chicken Kabobs: This family recipe is packed with protein and vegetables marinated in a zesty sauce that adds a delicious Asian flavor. Chris likes to save the extra marinade to use as a drizzle on a salad or sandwich later in the week.

It’s no secret that Chris loves dessert. But Chris’ standards are high for dessert. If she’s going to indulge, it’s got to be delicious and healthier than the typical sweet treat packing loads of sugar. Oh and if it’s got pumpkin or apples in it, she’s almost guaranteed to like it.

Pumpkin Pie Mousse: Pumpkin is a favorite flavor for Chris. And this pumpkin pie mousse is the perfect not-too-sweet dessert for fall.

Apple Crisp: Fun tidbit about Chris: growing up, she used to always ask for an apple crisp instead of a regular birthday cake. Ever since she was a little girl, apple crisp has been a favorite dessert.

Cheesecake Squares: This lightened up cheesecake is low calorie and a great way to satisfy your cheesecake craving. Chris like to garnish with tons of fresh strawberries!

Chris can’t go a day without snacking. And because of this, she knows her snacks need to be healthy. She typically goes for a simple apple with peanut butter or yogurt with toppings, but when she’s feeling a bit more adventurous these are her favorites.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Energy Bars: Coming out of Chris’ kitchen, she loves this recipe for a healthy snack at the office or post-workout. The oats, peanut butter and seeds make for a pilling and nutritious bar.

Pumpkin Pie Protein Balls: Protein is big for Chris when looking for a snack and these pumpkin pie protein balls have 7g per 2 balls. Plus, it tastes just like pumpkin pie filling!

Guacamole: Chris loves her recipe for homemade guacamole instead of high fat dips and chips when entertaining. Her preferred dippers? Carrots and red peppers.

When it comes to drinks, Chris rarely goes a day without her kombucha. However, when she wants to change things up, these are her best-loved thirst-quenchers:

Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte: The typical pumpkin spice latte packs major calories and fat, but Chris didn’t want to give up one of her favorite flavors so quickly. Thus, she created a version of her own: delicious and way better for you!

Fruit Infused Water: Chris loves to flavor her water with all sorts of fruit and herb combinations. The options are endless and she often finds she drinks way more during the day when she has yummy infusers!

Sassy Skinny Margarita: Chris and her husband came up with this recipe as an alternative to the high-calorie ones you’ll often find at Mexican restaurants. The Freytag version has only six simple ingredients and is a snap to make.
