Recipe: Crispy Baked Yuca Fries

We all know how glorious homemade french fries can be, but have you ever tried yuca fries? Similar to potatoes, yuca is a root vegetable with a starchy center. It’s used frequently in Latin cooking and when Latin American cuisine has also brought us tamales, pico de gallo and rice pudding, we figure they know what they’re doing.
This healthy gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan recipe uses only a handful of ingredients and requires no frying – a benefit to your health and kitchen clean-up. Score! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, you have got to give these a try.
- 2 large yucas
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- freshly ground black pepper
