Let’s face it we all want quick, easy meals that taste like we’ve been slaving over them all day long. Using a dry rub on meats and seafood is one of my tricks for a no fuss crowd pleasing dinner. Add some roasted veggies and your done! I usually double or triple these recipes to give to friends. I just fill spiced sized mason jars with the rub,  add a little twine and voilá, instant homemade gift!

Chicken Rub

Three simple and delicious meat rub recipes that make for an easy healthy dinner.

I use this chicken rub mainly on any poultry, but it is also great on grilled pork chops! All you do is sprinkle the rub over meat a few minutes before cooking. The rub isn’t BBQ, but does have a sweet & slightly spicy flavor.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper

Beef Rub

Three simple and delicious meat rub recipes that make for an easy healthy dinner.

My boys and husband love a good steak. I sprinkle this rub on red meat before grilling or cooking and it just enhances the natural flavors. This rub is mild and won’t overpower your meals like some rubs and seasonings will. Great on fajitas, steak, and hamburgers.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1/4 cup black pepper
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary crushed

Seafood Rub

Fresh seafood is my absolute favorite, and this rub gives everything from the water a little extra kick. I sprinkle this rub over shrimp and salmon and everyone loves the flavor!

Ingredients you will need:

  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
