10 Different Jumping  Jack Variations to  Spice Up the Exercise!

A jumping jack is a  calisthenics exercise, which means it’s great for cardiovascular health and boosting your metabolism.

1

JUMPING JACK

Your regular "jumping jack." Jumping both feet out and in while hands go overhead.  This is your base movement!

2

Modified  Jumping  Jack

If you are looking to take this movement down a notch and keep it low impact, tap the feet out and in. Same motion with the arms!

3

SEAL  JACKS

This variation changes up the pattern of the arms.  The feet will jack out and in, but the arms will change.

4

SQUAT  JACKS

Looking to incorporate more lower body into your jumping jack?  Squat down low and jack up high.

5

CRISS CROSS  JACKS

Muscles Targeted: Inner Thighs  By criss crossing the feet, you are incorporating more inner thigh.

6

PUNCH TO  JACK

We love a good kickboxing move - and combine that with a jumping jack - you have an exercise that raises the heart rate and strengthens the back all at the same time.

7

PLANK  JACKS

Muscles Targeted: Core and Cardio  In a plank position, you will incorporate more core and get the heart rate up all together!

8

PUSH UP  JACK

ADVANCED MOVEMENT!!  Jacking the feet out at the same time lowering into a push-up strengthens the chest and is an advanced jumping jack variation.

9

BURPEE  JACK

ADVANCED MOVEMENT!!  Who doesn't love adding a burpee to any movement they can?! A burpee + 2 jacks at the top is a great dynamic move!

10

PLYO  JACK

Also known as a STAR Jack!!  High intensity and high impact. Start in a low squat and jump into an "X" position with your body!
