Lavender Lemonade

There’s nothing more refreshing on a hot day than a glass of ice cold lemonade. We love making pitchers of this lavender lemonade recipe all summer; lemon and lavender make a delightful flavor pairing.

Ingredients

Lavender-Infused Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup filtered water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 small handful fresh lavender flowers or 3 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

Honey Lavender Lemonade

  • 1 1/2 cups lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cups cold filtered water
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup lavender simple syrup adjust to your sweetness preference

Instructions

  • To make the lavender simple syrup, add the sugar and fresh lavender flowers to a bowl. Rub the flowers into the sugar with your fingers until fragrant. Pour boiling water over the flower/sugar mixture and stir well with a spoon until the sugar is dissolved. Allow the mixture to steep for about 20-30 minutes then strain through a strainer. Transfer to a jar and refrigerate until ready to use. You’ll have some leftover lavender simple syrup which you can use for future batches of this lemonade or mix it into cocktails.
  • To make the lemonade: add ice, lemon juice, cold water, and simple syrup to a pitcher and stir well with a spoon.
