Chris Freytag, CEO
Chris Freytag is an ACE certified personal trainer, TV personality, author, and motivational speaker. She has been sharing the message of healthy living for 30 years while teaching fitness classes, writing books, creating workouts, and sharing her knowledge in magazines and online. She worked at Prevention Magazine and the Twin Cities NBC affiliate for 14 years.
She is the content creator for the Get Healthy U blog and founder of Get Healthy U TV, an online workout streaming site where members have access to exceptional, full-length workouts in their homes.
Chris lives in Minneapolis with her husband of 32 years and has 3 grown children.

Shelby Hayes, Office Operations Manager
Shelby makes sure everything runs smoothly behind-the-scenes at Get Healthy U and has been an assistant to Chris for years! Shelby graduated with a degree in Communications from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Her energetic and positive personality makes her a go-getter who is ready to complete any task that comes her way.
Shelby lives in Minnesota with her husband and two daughters.
Amanda Perlick, Marketing Director, Content Editor, Recipe Developer
Amanda graduated from Mount Mary College with an accredited degree in Design and a minor in Art. She started her career path owning a small design studio and followed her passion for business into various marketing roles. As an accomplished recipe developer and taking a holistic approach to health, she has continued bringing creativity and perspective to the Get Healthy U team for the last seven years.
Amanda lives in Minneapolis with her husband Tim and young son Arlo. She enjoys traveling and spending time in nature.
Alexis Thom, Managing Editor
Lexi graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Communication Studies from Bethel University. She started out her career in public relations and quickly found a passion in working with brands focused on health which brought her to Get Healthy U. She has a passion for nutrition, cooking and food photography. She has written for various publications both locally and nationally, in print and online.
Lexi lives in Champlin with her husband, Ben, two sons and puggle, Rue.
Kim Pieper, Associate Fitness Editor
Kim Pieper is an ACE certified personal trainer working in the fitness industry for more than 20 years doing everything from educating to personal training to writing. She currently teaches group fitness classes at Life Time Fitness and General Mills in Plymouth and loves to create an awesome workout with a room full of fun people.
Kim lives in Plymouth with her husband, two black labs and has three grown children.
Samantha Cameranesi, Digital Content Manager
Sam is a certified yoga instructor graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Business Management. During her time at the U of M, Sam was a full time collegiate athlete dancing on the Dance Team where she won 8 National Championships and 2 World Championships. After working a few years in the finance industry, Sam wanted to find something more in line with her passion for health and fitness, which brought her to Get Healthy U.
Sam lives in Plymouth and fills her free time by coaching group fitness classes and coaching high school dancers. She enjoys staying active and leading a healthy lifestyle!
Deborah Murphy MS, RDN | Registered Dietitian, Recipe Developer
Debbie has been a registered dietitian for over 10 years and recently traded in her lab coat for freelance recipe development and food photography. Her mission is to help you eat more plants! She loves creating fresh, vibrant, and approachable recipes for blogs and brands that will have you running to the kitchen. You can find all of her recent recipes on her blog dietitiandebbie.com.
Debbie lives in Chicago with her husband Will (who also happens to be a dietitian!), her son Micah, and their energetic pup, Lucy.
