Recipe: Honey Almond Granola

I love putting crunchy and nutty granola into my Greek yogurt for breakfast or a snack, but store bought granola is packed with calories, fat, and sugar. That’s why I love this delicious honey almond granola! The recipe has 1/3 less calories than normal and is packed with protein and fiber thanks to flax, chia, and almonds. You can add your favorite nuts and seeds, but make sure to leave out the calorie and sugar-filled dried fruit and opt for fresh fruit instead!



  • 1.5 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp.chia seeds
  • 1/3 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp. butter or coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract (or vanilla)
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • Pinch salt
