Recipe: Yogurt Chia Seed Pudding

This Yogurt Chia Seed Pudding is definitely not your typical pudding! The chia seeds add a nutty but delicious flavor while the cinnamon adds a hint of spice. The recipe calls for any type of yogurt, but I always pick Greek yogurt because protein is super important at breakfast time!



  • 1/2 cup nonfat yogurt (plain or flavored, regular or Greek)
  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup milk (nonfat, unsweetened almond, etc)
  • Dash of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Optonal: 1 packet Stevia or other sweetener if using unsweetened yogurt

I have been reading a book about the benefits of Chia seeds. It indicated that you were only supposed to use ground chia seeds because the whole chia seeds are digested too quickly to have any benefits. Any thoughts on this?

    Well, both are good! When you use whole chia seeds it's best to soak them in water overnight to get the same benefits as the grounded ones.
