Recipe: Spinach and Strawberry Protein Smoothie

Ok, I must confess I’m a sucker for a beautiful bright colored smoothie. Somehow I feel like if it’s pretty it must taste good (which is NOT always true!) While this recipe doesn’t produce a very appetizing color, it does produce a yummy nourishing goodness. The spinach, almond butter, and hemp protein powder combine to be the ultimate plant-based protein kick. The strawberries sweeten it up with a titch of tartness. It goes to show, you can’t always judge a book by it’s cover, or a smoothie by it’s color!

- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tsp. almond butter
- 2 tbsp. hemp protein
