Recipe: Healthy Baked Sweet and Spicy Wings

My sons are huge wings fans and these healthy baked sweet and spicy wings do not disappoint. The recipe has the perfect balance of sweet and spicy from the wing sauce and hot pepper jelly. But here’s the best part–no deep fryer needed! You’ll be amazed at how crispy the wings get even though they are oven-baked!



  • 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 lbs. chicken wings
  • 2.5 tbsp. buffalo hot sauce, like Frank’s Red Hot
  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp. hot pepper jelly, melted
