Did you know a small McDonald’s shamrock shake will set you back 530 calories and 73 grams of sugar? No thank you! This healthy shamrock shake may not be identical in taste to the classic because last time we checked, fast food chains weren’t putting spinach in their shakes. But, this version is actually good for you and not pumping you full of chemical ingredients and additives. So skip the drive-thru and make this shake instead!

  • 1 frozen large banana, as ripe as possible
  • cacao nibs or chocolate chips
  • 1/8 tsp to 1/4 tsp pure peppermint extract
  • 2/3 cup to 1 cup milk of choice
  • optional: 1/4 cup frozen spinach
