Amen to that, sister. We love us a juicy burger or ice cream cone from time to time.
Have you ever had a friend who was a buzzkill at restaurants and barbecue parties? What’s the point of living, right?
Let’s toast (with real drinks) to the 80-20 rule. Good 80% of the time, Not-so-good 20% of the time. And feeling guilty or tortured zero % of the time. That’s our formula for a rockin’ body, with no regrets.
TO FIND STUFF THAT WORKS.
Whether it’s a juicer, a recipe, or a butt-toning squat, we will never recommend anything here that we don’t believe in. If we suggest it, that means we use it, have used it, or would use it because we know it works.
TO LOOK HOT IN JEANS.
Specifically, your favorite jeans. And never have to trade them for “fat jeans,” either. We know the pain of trying to zip up jeans you haven’t worn in a while, and having the button respond with “Error. Please try again later.”
We’re all about habits you can sustain and enjoy, so you don’t have to upsize your jeans next time winter, or just ordinary stress, hits.
TO FIND A MAGIC WEIGHT LOSS BEAN!
Oh, so do we. We might even click on the Facebook ad for it, because we can’t help ourselves. But let’s be honest. There’s just no such thing.
There’s one kind of “miracle” that works: having easy, ingrained, healthy habits you don’t even think about. A lifestyle where you move every day, without an inner struggle; make (mostly) healthy eating choices that you can make for a lifetime; and achieve a body you love. One you can keep.
That’s the magic we deal in here.
TO LOOK 10 YEARS YOUNGER THAN YOU ARE.
Can’t deny it: it’s heaven to hear “Shut the front door” or “No. Freaking. Way” whenever we mention our age.
And it’s doable. Yes, without plastic surgery. You do the things we show you here on a regular basis, and you will feel beautiful girlfriend!
We’re not saying you won’t change with time, because we all do. But you can look ridiculously great along the way.
TO ENJOY AND NOT LOATHE YOUR WORKOUTS.
You wish you never had to work out? Or you wish you wanted to work out so it didn’t feel like a “have to”? Never mind, same dif.
First of all, let’s not call it “working out.” Let’s call it “movement” or even better “play.”
Yes, you’ve got to do it if you want to look and feel good.
But it doesn’t have to be some horrible cross to bear. If the thought of working out every day for the rest of your life sends you into the fetal position, watching a Parenthood rerun and two-finger scooping from the peanut butter jar, how about this?
Work smarter not longer. Combine your strength and cardio into one workout. Have fun, jam out to music, be intense, safe and get results. You may even end up admitting you enjoy it.
And the more results you see, the more it’ll be a “want to,” not a “have to.”
