While we love our classic oatmeal for breakfast, sometimes we need to change things up a bit and this savory black bean breakfast bowl does just the trick. Made with black beans, sautéed kale, brown rice, an egg, tahini, pumpkin seeds and more, this bowls loads up the flavor and the nutrition.



  • Kale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 purple onion, finely diced
  • 1 15 ounce can black beans, rinsed
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • 4 cups kale, deboned
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Eggs
  • 4 eggs, large
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Brown Rice
  • 1 cup short grain brown rice
  • 2 cups water
